Having recently completed the GDPR training I realised that it might be an excellent time to remind PEs that if the student has gone through an academic board at the end of their placement the documents relating to the placement need to be destroyed. They are no longer current or relevant.
If you have been sent profiles of students that are not coming to you, those need to be destroyed as soon as the decision not to take is made.
If you are working with a student, documentation about them needs to be securely stored either electronically or in hard copy. If you store student information at home this needs to be done securely.
Actions: Check that all of last years students’ data has been deleted.
