National Learn to Care Annual Study Day – 26th November

We are delighted to invite you to join your colleagues at the Annual study day for workforce development leads, principal social workers, commissioner’s et al who operate within the adults and children’s social care sector.

This Learn to Care study event aims to provide information, support and networking opportunities through a blend of key note speakers and practice based experiential sessions. As with all our study events this has been organised by workforce leads from across the country and designed with you as a specific target audience in mind.

The event it is being hosted by Solihull MBC at the Sans Souci Training Centre which has great transport links.

Learn to Care materials will be freely available and you will receive a copy of one of the Sage Post Qualifying Social Work texts.

Attendance is free of charge and places are limited so you are advised to book early!

The day will start at 09:45, with an opportunity to register and network over coffee, finishing at 15:15. We have a great selection of guest speakers and workshops, ensuring that there is something for everyone. Speakers and workshop hosts include representation from Skills for Care, the Children’s PSW Network, Leeds City Council and Bournemouth University.

To follow the theme of the event, topics will include; asset based community development, the new knowledge and skills statements, an update on social work teaching partnerships, the work being done to combat financial scamming and fraud and an update on national developments and workforce strategies.

Members of the Learn to Care national committee will be attending, and are looking forward to welcoming you to the event and to talking about workforce development and learning.
