An Introduction to Families, Drugs and Alcohol – Thursday 22nd November

Balance is offering a free one day accredited course delivered by Adfam, a national charity which improves life for families affected by drugs and alcohol, to support the development of Alcohol Free Childhood in the North East.

We are seeking your support to secure the engagement of Early Help or similar services working with families in your local authority with this training.

An introduction to families, drugs and alcohol will take place on Thursday 22nd November 2018, 9.30am – 4.15pm at The Ramside Hotel, Ramside Hall, Carrville, Durham DH1 1TD

Each local authority is offered two free places for staff within social care teams working with families. Balance is aiming to enable social care teams to experience the training and then consider if it should be delivered again either within their local authority or within the region.

We would like a senior worker in the Early Help team (or similar service) working with families and the social care training lead for this service to attend so that the value of the training can be assessed from both frontline service and training perspectives.
